at a Consistory Court holden at Castletown on the 16th day of October 1801 Thomas Redfern of Castletown having dep this life in or about the month of November which was in the year of Our Lord 1800 intestate and the court having received intelligence thereof hath decreed his six children namely John Robert William Thomas Jane and Martha joint administrators of all and singular his goods rights credits chattels and effects moveable and imoveable whatsoever, who being all of age and off the island except John Kennish husband of the said Martha he is therefore sworn well and truly to administer the estate of the said intestate to pay all his just debts so far forth as his goods and effects will extend and the law shall bind and to be just to his said co-admors in the division of the residue of the said estate and to these ends he hath given pledges in form of law namely William Cameron and Thos Careen (?) both of Castletown Decretum Est Ev Christian John Crellin
