Archdeacon Will 1792 #61, Maughold, of Ellinor Christian als Cowle, made 27 February 1792:

"The last will and testament of Elinor Christian of KK Maughold being weak of body but of a sound and well disposed mind and memory at the making therof which was worded by her the 27th of February and committed to writing the 29th of said month in manner and form following:
First, she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial.
Secondly, she left to her daughter Cathrine her daughter Joney clothes and to the said Cathrine a sheep and a blanket and sheet.
Thirdly, she left to her grandson John Christian one guinea to put him to a trade.
And to her son John and his daughter Cathrine a heifer equally between them.
And to her son John the bed whereon he lay with all the bed clothes and also as much flannel as would make him a waistcoat. Likewise a new blanket to be made of the plaiding that was in the house.
Fourthly, she left her daughter Elinor Wattleworth and her daughter in law Anne Christian and her daughter in law Cathrine a gown and petticoat apiece.
Fifthly, she left her husband Ewan Christian and daughter Cathrine Christian and grandson John Christian a tow wick[?] equally between them.
And to her son William Christian and son in law John Wattleworth forty shillings.
And six pence to all persons that may claim a legacy in this her last will and testament.
Lastly, she left her husband Ewan Christian whole and sole Executor of all her other goods of what nature xxx the said goods and effects that she was possessed of or xxx. As witness our names this 29th of February 1792. The forementioned testatrix left one shilling fourteen pence each to the witnesses.

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre Jun 21st, 1792: The Executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies, namely John Kneen and William Callow both of KK Maughold."
