Archdeacon Will 1784 #133, Andreas, of Bahie Christian als Skinner, made 13 March 1784:

"KK Andreas April 13^th, 1784: This affirmed by the subscribing witnesses to be the last will and testament of Bahie Christian of the parish of KK Andreas being sick in body but of a disposing mind, memory and understanding did on the thirteenth of March make and declare her last will and testament in manner following. First, she committed her soul to God and her body to earth. Item, she left to the two youngest children William and Joney nine pounds each and if one ot them happen to die then it is to fall to the other. Item, she left to Lucy Skinner the black gown & the best cloak the caps and black petticoat. Item, she left to Daniel Skinner ten shillings and one 2 year old sheep. Item, she left to James Skinner one yearling. Item, she let to Ann NeMeer one yearling. Item, she left to Ann Corlet her wearing gown two petticoats and two caps, and two or three kishans of corn. Item, she left to James Quirk two shillings British. Item, she left to Elinor Christian her green gown cap & ribband and likewise to Jane Christian a blue gown cap & ribband. Item, she left to Joney Quirk William Quirk’s daughter a piece of linsey woolsey for a bed gown and a petticoat. Item, she left to Cathrine Corkil white apron. Item, she left to Joney Corlet the old woman check xxxx. Item, she left six pence to anybody that would declare any right to her goods. And lastly, she nominated constituted and appointed her loving husband John Christian sole Executor of all the rest of her goods and effects moveable and immoveable whatever and to the witnesses she left one shilling each. Witnesses: John Tear, Isabel Tear.

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre June 5, 1784: The Executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and also guardian and supervisor to the children who are under age and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely John Lace one of the witnesses and William Rxxxx of KK Andreas.

I Charles Clark husband of Judith Clark als Christian of the Parish of Jurby do acknowledge to have received from William Christian the Executor of the last will and testament of John Christian deceased who was the Executor of the last will and testament of Bahie Christian his wife also deceased the sum of nine pounds being the amount of the legacy left and bequeathed to the said Judith Clark in and by the said will of the said Bahie Christian, and do hereby release acquit and discharge the said William Christian the Executor of the said John Christian his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns of the same forever. At witness my name this 1^st August 1832 [signed] Charles Clark. Before me Henry Maddrell Ar. Regr."
