Archdeacon Wills 1784, #49, of Ann Moore dau of Samuel Moore:

"I Ann Moore daughter of Samuel Moore late of Castletown deceased, and at present sick and infirm in body but of sound and disposing moind memory and understanding, and calling to mind the uncertainty of this mortal life, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following: First, I commit my soul to God and my body to Christian burial. Item, I leave and bequeath to my loving brother Thomas Moore and my sister Elizabeth Moore the sum of ten pounds each and to my sister Jane Moore the sum of twenty pounds. Item, I leave and bequeath unto my Aunt Catharine Taubman on guinea, and I desire and request my mother to let my said aunt have … the amount thereof in a mourning. Item, I leave and bequeath to my cousin Samuel Taubman half a guinea toward his schooling, all which bequests and legacies … are not to be paid until afte the decease of my executor hereafter named. Item, I devise give and bequeath to my honored mother Ann Nelson to be of her own disposal and of no other person whatsoever … and singular that my right and … in and unto that house wherein my said mother and Stepfather William Nelson now live in together with my right and title is the … houses and gardens to the said house adjoin and belongs with all and singular the appurtenances said house and garden belongeth and appertaineth situate … and being near Castletown Cross aforesaid commonly called and known by the name of Samuel Moore’s houses and garden, saving and … unto my said stepfather William Nelson my right of said premises during his natural life. And lastly, I nominate constitute and appoint my said honored mother Ann Nelson alias Moore alias Taggart sole executrix of all the rest of my worldly goods and effects moevable and immoveable of what kind or nature. At chapter Court holden at Castletown 13^th June 1784, William Nelson husband of the executrix named in the above will is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for all payment of debts and legacies."
