Episcopal Will 1780 Ballaugh of Elizabeth Corlett als Wilks of Brooghjarg Mooar, Ballaugh,
made 28 February 1780: Ballaugh:
In the name of God Amen. I ELIZABETH CORLETT OTHERWISE WILKS WIFE OF THOMAS CORLETT JUNIOR of Brooghjarg Mooar in the parish of Ballaugh being sick in body but of a disposing mind memory and understanding do make publish and declare my last will and testament in manner following.
First I commit my soul to God and body to Christian burial.
Item: I bequeath and leave to my DAUGHTER MARGARET CORLETT the sum of twenty
pounds with all my apparel linen and woolen a furnished feather bed and the
press.
Item: I will and leave six pence to each person claiming any just and lawful
right to my goods and effects or to any part thereof.
And lastly I will and leave to my said loving HUSBAND namely THOMAS CORLETT
all and every the rest of my goods chattels and effects moveable and immovable
whatsoever whom I also nominate constitute and appoint executor of the same
and residuary legatee of this my last will and testament. One shilling each
to the witnesses of my said last will and testament. As witness my subscription
this 28h day of February 1780. ELIZABETH CORLET.
