Archdeacon Wills 1779 #30, Rushen, of John Crebbin of Soroby, Rushen:

‘John Crebbin of Soroby, in the parish of Trinity Rushen, being infirm in body, but of sound mind and memory, made his will and testament in form and manner following, January 29th, 1778. He commended his soul to God and his body to the earth. He bequeathed to his son Henry Crebbin a great coat and five shillings. He bequeathed to his grandson John Kinley twenty shillings, which is in the custody of Henry Crebbin above mentioned, and the said Henry to secure the same, till the said John Kinley had a just occasion for it. He bequeathed a sheep and lamb between the said John Kinley & Margaret Crebbin the testator’s granddaughter. Lastly he nominated and appointed his daughter Elizabeth Kinley als Crebbin sole executrix of all the rest of his goods moveable and immoveable. Witnesses: Nicholas Christian, Ewan Qualtrough.

At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown June 4th, 1779, Nicholas Kinley husband to the above mentioned executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law, and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies, William Callister & Christopher Bell both of Rushen.’
