Last Will and Testament of Alice Stephen (als Quayle)

Jurby May 15, 1779

The Last Will and Testament of Alice Stephen otherwise Quayle Widow of Patrick Stephen of Sertfield old veg in the Parish of Jurby, deceased, being in bodily health and of sound mind disposing memory and understanding made and declared the same in manner following;

First she committed her soul to God and Body to Christian Burial

Item - She Bequeathed to her son Patrick Stephen of P. Sertfield the big chest and the big chair

She will to her daughter Margaret Stephen all her purchased Lands whatever

She left to her Grandaughter Joney Stephen a little wheel

She Bequeathed to Elizabeth Stephen her Grandaughter a sheep

She left six pence each to any person or persons who should claim a legal right to her Goods & Effects, or to any part thereof

And lastly she Nominated Constituted Appointed her said daughter Margaret Stephen sole & whole executrix of all the rest of her Goods Chattels & Effects whatever And one shilling each to the

The Exec. is sworn in court in form of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of Debts & Legacies namely Pat. Stephen and John Killip both of Jurby
