Archdeacon Will 1776 #59, Braddan, of Ann Radcliffe als Bridson als Moore of Douglas, died late October 1776:

‘This is affirmed by Margt Philips & Jane Cannell both of Douglas to be the last will and testament of Ann Radcliffe of Douglas widow, who departed this life the latter end of October last, and a few days before her decease has in the presence of these witnesses declared as follows. First, she left to her daughters namely Ellinor Taggart & Ann Clucas all her wearing apparel to be equal between them, and in case said daughters should not be satisfied therewith, they are to get a crown each instead of said apparel and all other rights. 2ndly, she left to her son Christopher Bridson a crown in case he claims it. 3rdly, she left to her grandson John Bridson junr her silk black handkerchief & the chest of drawers. 4thly, she left five shillings to be paid to the poor. 5thly and Lastly, she appointed her son John Bridson senr of Douglas shoemaker, whole & sole Executor of her last will and testament, & this in our presence. [signed their marks] Marget Phillips, Jain Cannell. At a Consistory Court holden at Douglas Nover 5th 1776, The Executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts & legacies namely George Oates of KK Conchan & William Crebbin of Kewaigue in KK Braddan."
