Episcopal Wills 1769 Andreas #3, of John Cleator

Kirk Andreas
John Cleator the younger perished by sea at the
herring fishery on or about the 11th day of August
intestate. The court upon intelligence thereof hath
decreed his five children  namely John, James, Cath 
& Ellin ^or Alice^ Cleator  with the child or children whereof the
intestates widow is now ensient joint adminrs of all his goods
& chattels moveable & immoveable whatsoever
who being all under age, their uncle & aunts on the
deads part namely William, Margt & Alice Cleater
are sworn supervisors, and by their consent the
deads part of the children & their goods is committed
to Margt Cleater their mother, who with sd supervisors
are sworn to bring a perfect inventory to the
registry - pledges in behalf of the widow for payment
of debts & forthcoming of the children's goods are
Wm Cleater aforesd of Jurby & Danl Cormode of
Kk Andrews

We whose names are hereunto subscribed
being a jury of four men sworn by John
Radcliffe summner of the said parish to
value a certain parcel of land for the
use of John Cleator a child under age whose
father perished by sea about the beginning of
August 1769 we have valued the sd land
to the yearly sum of seven shillings & six pence
on the deads part and this is our verdict
as witnesses our names and marks
