Archdeacon Wills 1768 #53, Santon, of Isabel Crebbin als Gelling:

‘Isabel Crebbin als Gelling of the parish of KK Santan being of perfect mind and sound memory but weak in body at the making hereof, declared the following to be her last will and testament in manner following: First she committed her soul her God Almighty and her body to Christian burial. Item, she left and bequeathed her eldest son John five pounds, said five pounds to be paid him by his father John Crebbin when he arrived at the age of fourteen years but if in case said child dies before he arrives to said age then his father is to have his legacy. Item, she left and bequeathed to her youngest son William Crebbin seven pounds legacy, said legacy to be paid him by his father at the age of fourteen years, but if in case he dies before he arrives at fourteen years then his father is to have his legacy and likewise left the tuition of her children to her husband. Item, she left and bequeathed her sister in law Margaret Fannan her cotter hat and her dominy. She left and bequeathed her sister Elizabeth Gelling two of her best quilted petticoats and her stays. She constituted nominated and appointed her loving husband John Crebbin sole and whole executor of all the rest of her goods and effects moveable and immoveable whatsoever. Witnesses: John Crebbin, John Caraley.

At a Chapter Court holden in Castletown 15th June 1768, the executor is sworn in Court in form of Law, and hath the tuition of the children who are both under age together with their goods committed to him pursuant to the will and is also in the absence of the next of kin of his deceased wife sworn supervisor and hath further given pledges as also for payment to namely John Crebbin and John Caraley the witnesses of the will both of Santan.’
