Archdeacon Wills 1767 #11, Patrick, of Catharine Cosnahan wife of Thomas Cosnahan of Patrick:

‘This is affirmed the last will and testament of Catherine Cosnahan wife to Thomas Cosnahan of KK Patrick, who departed this life about the 17th of February 1767, being in perfect mind and memory at the making thereof. First, she committed her soul to Almighty God and her body to Christian burial. Item, she left unto her daughter Catherine Cannelo six pence legacy. Item, she nominated and appointed her daughter Joney Tear whole and sole executrix of all the rest of her goods and chattles moveable and immoveable. Witnesses: Nicholas Quoark, John Nowell.

At a Cour of Correction holden at Peeltown February 20, 1767, John Tear husband of Joney the executrix is sworn for payment of debts and legacies and obliges himself to pay unto Cath. Cannell daughter of the testatrix the sum of twenty shillings on account of her consenting to this will. Said Tear has given pledges in form of law namely Nicholar Quoark and John Nowell the witnesses of the will.

I Catharine Cannell of Peeltown daughter of the above testatrix Catharine Cosnahan do hereby acknowledge to have received the above twenty shillings from John Tear above mentioned, my brother in law which he promised to pay me at the time of probate of the above will, and do hereby release and acquit him the said John Tear, his executors and assigns thereof forever. Witness my mark on my name this 6th J… [signed her mark] Catharine Cannell.’
