This is affirmed by the subscribing witnesses to be the last will and testament of William Kelly (of the Bishops Turbery) who departed this life on or about the 16th of April, anno predicto, being of perfect mind and memory at the making hereof. Having said the creed and Lords prayer, and committed his soul to God and body to Christian burial, he bequeathed to his brother John Kelly and sister Anne Gawn als Kelly two English shillings each. And declared that William Gawn his brother in law owned him a guinea which he had lent him. He bequeathed to his wifes nephew John Keig and one of his family a coat, called a set-out, a jacket, a pair of breeches, a perry and waistcoat, and all his shirts. And nominated and constituted his loving wife Jane Kelly als Keig sole and whole executrix of all the rest of his effects moveable and immoveable whatsoever. At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael 30th May 1766, the executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely Michael Calley and Wm Corlet the witnesses of the will both of Ballaugh.
