Archdeacon Wills 1766 #18, German, of Catharine Radcliffe of Peeltown, German:

‘In the name of God, Amen. I Cathrine Radcliff of Peeltown in the parish of KK German, being sick and weak in body but of a perfect mind and memory thanks be to God, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following: First, I recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to Christian burial. Secondly, I bequeath unto my sister Jane Radcliffe otherwise Neacle my little spinning wheel and unto my brother in law John neacle I bequeath half a crown. Thirdly and lastly, I ordain and appoint my other sister Isabel Lace otherwise Radcliffe my sole heiress and executrix of all my other goods movable and immovable to be by her enjoyed and six pence legacy to any other person or persons that shall claim anything after my decease. Peeltown the 4 January 1766. Witnesses: John Cain, Ann Cannell.

At a Court of Correction holden at Balnyhowin February 7, 1766, Patrick Lace husband of the above named executrix is sworn executor in Court in form of law, and has given pledges for payment of debts and legacies namely William White and John Cain, both of Peeltown.’
