Thomas Kneen
In the name of God Amen I Thomas Kneen, son of Thomas
Kneen of Kk Andrews being of sound and perfect mind and
memory and being determined and bound to go a voyage
to sea towards the coasts of Africa and being desirous
to sette my affairs so as to prevent any suit or trouble
after my decease, in case it pleases God to call me hence,
before my return, do make this my last will testament
and concern, in a manner and form following, first I recommend
my soul to Almighty God who gave it, and my body
to be intered in a christian like manner, where it shall
please the great god that I shall die, and as for what
worldly estate or wage that I may be intitled unto at
the time of my death I give leave and bequeath
the same in a manner herein after mentioned, I
leave give and bequeath to my brother Daniel
Creer the sum of ten shillings British, and no more
I leave to every relation who can lawfully claime
the same sixpence and no more and as for all the rest residue and
remainder of my estate rent and personall that
I am intitled unto to my dear father Thomas Kneen
afforesaid to be enjoyed by him his heirs and assigns
for ever, in case I die before my return, but in case I
return alive and well the same is hereby reserved for
myself, I hereby declare all other wills by me
heretofore made null and void, and this only to be my
last will and testament, and I do hereby name and
appoint Thomas Kneen my father sole and whole
exctr of this my last will and testament, and lastly
know all men by these presents that I the said Thomas
Kneen the younger do here by name and appoint Thomas
Kneen my said father my true and lawfull attorney
for me in my name or otherwise and for his own use
to sue for, and recover all wages bounty money, prize
money that may be due to me by any way or means
at the time of my death from any ship vessell or
person whatsoever In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this 20th day of June in the
year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty

At a chapter court holden at Lezayre Oct 22 1765
Thos Radcliffe & Wm Cleator have deposed on the holy
evangelists that Thos Kneen being of sound & disposing mind
& memory declared & duly executed the foregoing writing
as & for his last will & testamt, & that they know of no will made
to the contrary thereof - but whereas it is not certain
whether Thos Kneen the testr be alive or not, at the request
of Thos Kneen the testrs father this will is to be recorded
for the safe custody thereof
