Archdeacon Will 1765 #16, Patrick, of Catharine Clucas als Quilliam, died about 12 December 1764:

"This being the last will and testament of Cathrine Clucas als Quilliam of KK Patrick who departed this life about the 12th of December 1764, being in perfect mind and memory at the making or uttering hereof are a follows. First, committing her soul to Almighty God and her body to Christian burial. Item, she left and bequeathed to her grandchild Amy Callister fifty shillings and all the woolen yarn in the house. Item, she left to her son John a guinea which was in her son William’s hand. Item, she left to her husband Richard Clucas the bed which she lay on during his life and after his decease the same to return and descend to her son Philip. Lastly, she nominated and appointed her son Philip Clucas to be whole and sole Executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever, excluding all other relations that would pretend to claim further right to her goods with six pence legacy apiece. Witnesses: Philip Shimmin, Richard Crellin.

It is further consented unto and agreed upon by the said Richard Clucas husband to the Deceased and Philip Clucas the Executor aforesaid to give unto the John Clucas brother to the said Philip the further sum of five pounds which is due from William Clucas to his parents on account of a settlement given. In witness whereof they hereunto added their marks to their names this xxx of March 1765. [signed their marks] Richard Clucas, Philip Clucas.

At a Court of Correction holden at Balnyhown March 1st 1765: Philip Clucas is sworn Executor in Court in form of Law and has given pledges for payment of debts and legacies namely William Clucas & Richard Crellin both of KK Patrick, and Richard Clucas & Philip Clucas acknowledged the within agreement to be their Act and Deed.

24th February 1766: Mary Quilliam enters a claim against the Executors of Catharine Clucas als Quilliam for the sum of one pound."
