Archdeacon Wills 1763 #30, Lezayre, of Margaret Wattleworth of Lezayre:

‘This is affirmed to be the last of Margaret Wattleworth of Lezayre, being of perfect mind and memory at the making thereof. First, she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. Item, she left to William Crow of the Glanduff one half crown if he permitted her to be buried in one of his graves in the Church. Item, she left to the Vicar of Lezayre the sum of one crown. Item, she left six pence each to any person that should pretend to xxx this her last will. Item, to the witnesses of this her last will one shilling each. Lastly, she nominated and appointed her niece mary Cowll sole and whole executrix of all her goods movable and immovable of what nature soever. Witnesses: Thomas Garret, James Wilson.

At a Chapter Court of Correction holden at Lezayre 17th February 1763, William Cowle husband of Mary Cowle the executrix named in the above will is sworn executor in form of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies, namely Mr. John Cowle of the Kella in Lezayre and William Radcliffe of BallaRadcliffe in KK Andreas.’ Is this the 2nd wife of Capt John Wattleworth? (In his will, he sounds very displeased with his 2nd wife, and he also mentions William Crow in connection with her. This wiill (1763 #30) of Margaret sounds as if she is not welcomed to a burial place next to her husband and so is asking a relative for a burial spot.)
