Archdeacon Will 1762 #32, Douglas, Braddan, of Christopher Callow, cooper, died 24 March 1762:

"This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Christopher Callow cooper of the town of Douglas, who departed this life on the 24th of March 1762, being in sound mind and perfect memory at the making hereof. First, he committed his soul to God, and his body to Christian burial. He bequeathed and left to each of his children half a guinea. He left to any lawful claimer or claimers six pence legacy. Lastly, he nominated, constituted, appointed, and ordained his loving wife Margaret Calow als Corlet to be his sole and whole Executrix of all the rest and residue of his goods moveable and immoveable of what kind or denomination soever and this in the presence of us the subscribing witnesses. Witnesses: Charles Stuart, Steven Stevenson, Margrat Higins.

At a Chapter Court holden by Adjournment at Knockdoo in the parish of KK Braddan, 14th June 1762: The Executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies, namely Joseph Richmond & Patrick Corlet both of Douglas.

9th November 1762: Elizabeth & Margaret Callow being sisters of the deceased are supervisors of the children."
