Archdeacon Wills 1761 #53, German, of John Dawson:

‘In the name of God, Amen, the 21st October 1761, I John Dawson of KK German being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following. First, I commit my soul to God and my body to Christian burial. Item, I leave and bequeath to my son John Dawson my part of the crop and husbandry gears also my part of the five pounds which he borrowed from me with my part of the three pounds being the prize of the bullock betwixt us and all my clothes and upon that account he is the collect and hand out all law suits in his mother’s behalf, to gather the money that shall belong to her in the hands of other persons. Item, to my daughter Anne one of the cows which she hast in her custody or keeping. Item, to my grandson Thomas Kelly twenty shillings of the money which remains in the hand of Thomas Kelly his father. Item, to Henry and James Kelly my grandsons another twenty shillings of the money which is in the hand of their father Thomas Kelly to be equally between them. Item, to John Gell my Grandson ten shillings. Item, to my daughter Chatrine ten shillings. Item, to my granddaughter Anne Dawson twenty shillings. Item, to my granddaughter margaret Dawson ten shillings. Item, to my grandson John Kelly twenty shillings. Lastly, I leave nominate and appoint Chatrine my beloved wife a … executor of all the rest of my goods moveable and immoveable of what nature and kind soever. Excluding and debarring and other person or persons that shall claim any further right into my goods with six pence legacy. One shilling each to the witnesses of this will. Witnesses: William Boddaugh, John Kaighin.
