Episcopal Wills, Consistory Court, 1761, Douglas, of Esther Joiner als Moore als Kelley, made 1760:

"In the name of God amen. I Esther Joyner als Moore als Kelley of the town of Douglas being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory, thanks be to God, do make this my last will and testament in manner following: First, I commit my soul to God hoping through the mercies and mediation of my blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to find remission for all my sins and my body I commit to the earth to be decently buried. Item, I leave and bequeath to my loving husband Richard Joyner my part of the horses and cows. Item, I leave and bequeath to my son Richard Moore my part of the shop and concerns he now occupies. Item, I leave and bequeath to my son Peter Moore my part of the Tuck Miln commonly called or known by the name of Aldridge’s Miln, with my part of the lands thereunto belonging and adjoining. Item, I leave and bequeath to my daughter Esther Moore my part of the dwelling house that Mr. James Mellin now lives in, with all the appurtenances unto the same belonging. Item, I leave and bequeath unto all or any person or persons who can legally claim any right to my effects one silling each. Lastly, I nominate and appoint all my children namely Robert, Richard, Peter, and Esther Moore, and Margaret Joiner, joint and sole executors of all my goods and effects of what kind or nature soever whether moveable or immovable, hereby revoking any other will or wills heretofore made by me, and do appoint this to be my last will as witness my hand this 31^st day of December one thousand seven hundred and sixty, 1760. At Chapter Court holden in Douglas November 16, 1761, Robert, Richard, Peter & Esther Moore and Margret Joiner, the executors are sworn in Court in form of law and have given pledges."
