Ramsey In the name of God Amen, the thirteenth day of April in the year of our Lord God 1756. I Richard Cole of the town of Ramsey in the Isle of Mann (Mariner) do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner following I recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and for my body I recommend it to the earth - Item I [] bequeath to my ever honoured mother two guineas i Item I bequeath unto my two step brothers vizt John Kelvie and James Kelvie a crown a piece - Item I constitute make and ordain John Curphey (my uncle Edward's son) of the sd town of Ramsey (Cooper) my only and sole executor of all the rest of my goods of what kind or nature soever, and I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments, wills & legacies, requests & executors by me, in any ways before this time named, willed & bequeaths ratifying & confirming this and no other to be my last will & testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seal the day & year above written Richard Cole Signed seal'd pronounced & declared by the sd Richard Cole in the presence of the subscribing witnesses John Sayle Edward Cowll my mark X - jurati At a court of Correction holden at Lezayre Mar 26 1760 It appearing by the annexed deposition of James Singleton mariner that the testator Richard Cole departed this life near three years ago whereupon John Curphey the exor named is sworn for payment of Debts & legacies according to law and hath given pledges namely John Cowle of Lezayre & Edwd Curphey, cooper, of Ramsey Decretum est Ro radcliffe Matts Curghey solvit 12d At Lezayre the 26th of March 1760 At a court of correction holden at that place James Singleton sworn and examined before the Revd court declares upon the Holy evangelists that he was boatswain on board of ^the??ka o? yonph ?[unclear]^ a ship belonging to the borough of Liverpoole, in the kingdom of england Mr Wm Parkerson then commander, and that upon their vovage from England to that part of Africa called Guinea to his majesty's Island in the west Indies called Barbadoes - upon their passage they had a lad on board their vessel called Richard Cole from the Isle of Mann the sd Richd upon the voyage being seized with a mortification in his legs - and upon their arrival to Barbadoes the sd Richd Cole and others in disorder were sent a shore upon the sd Island - but as this declarant could not be actually present upon shore he did not see the sd Cole dying or burry'd but by all his inquiry and according to all the informations that he could receive the sd Cole died and was burry'd in the Island of Barbadoes about three years next april and this declarant really believes that the sd Richd Cole actually is dead and not alive by his information from the ^nurse^ doctor and those belonging to the Hospital James Singleton X At Lezayre Mar 26 1760 sworn before us Ro Radcliffe, Matts Curghey

Thomas Kelvie and Elizabeth Cole alias Curghey married 16 Jul 1748.
However these appear to be the only records so looks as if widowed mother married a widower.
