This is affirmed the last will and testament of Mrs Isable Gell als Moore of KK Conchan, being weak in body but of perfect mind & memory at the making thereof. First, she committed her soul to God, and her body to Christian burial, and disposed of her worldly goods in manner as followeth. Item, she left to her son Mr. Samuel Gell her silver watch & the iron grate in the kitchen, as also the table and frame in the kitchen. Item, she left to her daughter Margt her trunk and all her shaped clothes, linen and woolen, and a silver spoon, and a broad piece of gold in her keeping. Item, she left to her son Richard a feather bed and a bedstead that is at Beemaghig, as also a coverlet and a pair of sheets and a pair of blankets. Item, she left to her son in law John Moore a crown. Item, she left to the heir of Poolroish a square oak table and the broad pewter dish. Item, she left to the heir of Beemaghig the great press in her room. Item, she left to her daughter in law Mrs. Cathrine Gell a crown. Item, she left to her son in law Edward Christian the great house Bible and a guinea. Item, she left to her grandaughter Elinor Gell her wearing ring. Item, she left to Samuels eldest son her silver cup if he would have a son, and if he would not have a son, she left it to his eldest daughter living. She left to the poor of the parish ten shillings. She left an English shilling to each of the witnesses. Lastly, she nominated and appointed her daughter Alice Gell whole executor of all the rest of her goods moveable or immoveable whatsoever. At witness her name this 12th of May 1754. At a Court of Correction in Douglas, Feb 9th, 1756, the executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for payment of debts and legacies namely Mr. Edwd Christian junr., and Matthias Bancks, both of KK Conchan.
