Ramsey Feb 16 1756
David Lawson perished by sea on or about
the 23d Octor last Intestate. The Court upon
Intelligence thereof decrees his only child
namely Margaret Lawson sole Adminrx of all
his goods & chattells moveable & imoveable
whatsover - who being under age, & no relation
on the Deads part appearing in Court, the
tuition of the orphan & her goods is in the
meantime comitted unto the mother Margt
Lawson als Howland, who is according sworn
in form of law & hath given pledges namely
Wm Howland & Wm Goldsmith both of KK Bride.

A true Inventory & value of the
goods of David Lawson lately deceased
valued by four Sworn Men viz
Edwd Corkill, Patt: Stevenson, William
Kneale & William Looney
...
Feb 16 1756. The above Inventory containing
the Deads & Livings part of good delivered in
Court by the .....         Ja: Wilks

Whereas David Lawson of Ramsey lately deceased
have left behind him one child and his widow
on her own part, and James Lawson &
John Cleater supervissors in be half of the sd child
on the other part have agreed as follows

It is unaminously agreed by & betwix the said widow
and supervisors aforesd of the aforsed child, that the
mother is to have the Tuition of the sd child untill she
arrives to the age of fourteen years, togither with
the effects that now does or may become
due unto the sd child, and in case the sd child dye be=
fore she is at age the whole of whatever
goods bellongs unto the sd child shall decend & bellong
to the Mother. All partys binds & obliges
themselves (to perform the above aggreement) under
the pennalty of ten pounds sterling to be levey'd
according to laws. Wittness our name to our marks
this 12th Novr 1755   Margret Lawson alls Howland my X mark

James Lawson & John Cleater uncles by the fathers
side of Margt Lawson orphan daughter of David
Lawson decd are sworn supervisors of sd orphan
in form of Law. And they the sd supervisors wth
Margt Lawson the widow acknowlemt the within
agreemt to be their act & deedbefore me
