Archdeacon Wills 1749/50 #40, Patrick, of Margery Radcliffe, died 18 January 1749/50:

‘This is affirmed to the be last will and testament of Margery Radcliff, who departed this life the 18th January 1749. Being in perfect mind and memory, she committed her soul to God and body to Christian burial. First, she left to the Revnd. Robert Radcliffe Vicar of KK Patrick twenty shillings. Item, he left his daughter Ellinor Radcliffe her trunk and a crepe or poplin gown. Item, she left to her cousin Henry Radcliffe junior twenty shillings. Item, she left to Joseph Cannel a crown. Item, she left her cousin Catharine Radcliffe twenty shillings. Item, she left and bequeathed to Ellinor Quilliam the yarn that was in the house together with her wearing clothes and the small vessels and a chest. Item, she left unto Elizabeth Goldsmith a petticoat. Item, to Hugh Crain’s daughter Elizabeth a petticoat. She likewise bequeath to Thomas Goldsmith a crown and Silvester Radcliffe two crowns. Item, she ordered three pounds to be expended at her funeral. Lastly, she nominated and appointed her nephew Henry Radcliffe executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and immovable; and deprived all other relations with six pence legacy each that claimed any right to her goods. Witnesses: Thomas Goldsmith, Silvester Radcliffe.

At a Court of Correction at Ballahown February 23, 1749, the executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for payment of debts and legacies namely Capt. William Cosnahan & Thomas Goldsmith the witness.’
