At a Chapter Court held in Castletown October 21 1737 Mr Allen Stanley Collector departed this life about the the 9th of this instant, intestate, & after publication made in court both yesterday & this day no relation or creditor appearing to take the administration, the same is therefore comitted to Capt Wm Christian General Sumner, who is to make diligent inquiry, & bring to the registry a perfect inventory of all the decedents effects of what nature soever & to pay all just debts, as the court shall order and direct, after which he shall have his quiches est, according to law. Decretum est solvit John Woods Joh Cosnahan Oct 22 1737 Mr Jo Livingston enters a claim agt the admr of Mr Allen Stanley for £3 4s 5d June 16 1738 Mr Wm Curghy £2 8 0 British Sept 25 1738 Mr James Parr, having made the deceased's coffin & funished the timber & nails a black cloath, makes claim for £1 3 3 Proved die in presence of the genl sumner
Then follows a long inventory and several receipts inluding a listing of his books and the buyer & sum raised at auction
