Archdeacon Wills 1732 #22, Rushen, of Christopher Bell of Scard:

‘Ryshen 1731: This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Christopher Bell of Scard, who was then of sound mind and perfect memory at the declaration whereof. He declared a few days before he died that whensoever it pleased God to call for him out of this life, that he left xxx his lands and houses to his wife and after her decease to his only son Christopher Bell. Witnesses: Thomas Cannell, Margaret Clague.

There being no Executor named in the above will the children unmarried vizt, the above Christopher and his sister Anne are decreed joint administrators of all the remainder of the deceased’s effects. They are accordingly sworn in form of law and have given pledges the Revnd. Mr. John Quayle and Tomas Cannell witness of the will."
