Arbory 1731 This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of John Quayle of Balla Gloneh who departed this life about the month of January being of sound mind & perfect memory at the making thereof. First he commended his soul to God, & his body to Xtian burial. He left & bequeathed to his eldest son Robt part of the house [in trust - erased] as also his part of the mortgage lands, & all the rest of his effects among the rest of his children Witnesses Harry Curghey Richard Cubon John Comish Pat: Quayle & Thos Quayle are sworn supervisor who have the deads part of ye children & goods in their hands and have given pledges John Costean & HJugh Quayle Probatum & solvit est The inventory to be perfected next court May 16 1732 Thos Cubon claims 10d Arbory 1731 A perfect inventory of the effects of John Quayle of Balla Gloneh prov'd by four sworn men viz David Cubon, Michel Corlet, Robt Costean & Nicholas Bridson The particulars in gross upon the dead's pt amount to £6 9 3 The dead's part of a bond due from Wm Harrison of Cordeman & acknowledged before the deemster Charles Moore amounts to £2 15 0 wth the interest thereof since 22 June 1731 More added to the inventory as brought in by ye supervisors Pat & Thos Quayle, the deads part £1 12 0 Added for the cloaths of the decd as pr vicr genls order 0 7 6 debts due to the decd 4½ £11 4 1½ funeral charges & other dues & fines 19s 3d June ye 11 1740 I have recd from the hand of Patrick Quaile the summ of foure pounds three shilling & nine pence being his proportion of ye goods that belongd to his brother Jon Quailes childer I say rcd by me Esther Quale als Cottier my X Aug 4th 1739 Anexed to the inventory of John Quayle by Pat: Quayle one of the supervisors as follows An acct of what debts was pd by me Patrick Quaile since my brother was buried anno 1731 out of the childrens goods as followeth to widow cubbon and her son for ale for his funerall 5s 6d John Kelley for his coffin 5s 4d Hen Bridson for old debts claimd for 5 6½ Thos Cubbon tailor old debts claimed 2s 0 John Cubbon old debts claimed 0 5d widow Kaghin for the like 10s 0 John Kelley for a childs coffin died since 1s 9d tobacco and candles for funeral 8d Charles Quan old debt 2s 6d last childs cristning 2s 6d linen at the childs burial 0s 8d ale for childs funerall 2s 6d writing will of Jon Quayle 0s 9d Mr Stole old debts 2s 0d burying fees to Mr Quaile 0s 4d demster Moore for proving a bargain 0s 3d An cct of what I Thos Quaile pd of my brother Johns debts out of the childrens goods as follows Brandy for his funerall 2s 4d a mutton for hus funerall 2s 4d to the praisers of the goods 2s 8d burial fees and drawing the inventory of the goods 1s 2d clerks fees 0s 11d Mr Woods fees 0s 9d his clarks fees 0s 7d the sumnr for making [] 0s [] At Kk Braddan July 27th 1739 The inventory of the goods of John Quayle ammounting to £10 5s 10d & fees & debtless The overseers by the consent of the children at age are hereby ordered to pay the same to Esther Quayle als Cottier the widow who has given pledges in form of law Wm Harrison & David Cubbon and in the case the sd overseera vizr Patr & Thomas Quayle do refuse to pay the same accordingly they are to be comitted till they submit to order & pay all fees John Cosnahan Edw Moore To the sumner of Kk [arbory crossed thru] Malew who if disobeyed to desire a soldier At Kk Christ Rushin decr 5 1733 Whereas it appears that the wearing apparel of Esther Quayle of Kk Arbory were not prized with the cloaths of her husband John Quayle decd - Thos and Patrick Quayle the supervisors do therefore promise to add the sum of seven shillings and six pence to the inventory of sd John Quayle for the use of the children under age wch is in lieu of the apparel of ye decd vizt the suit of claths in dispute - the sd supervisors do moreover add four pence half penny outstanding debts & this before me John Cosnahan vicr genl 24 Octbr 1732 Henry Bridson claims 24s Charles Quane of KK Patrick 3s Pat Quayle Kk Malew £1 7s June 4th 1750 Thos Moor husband of Esther Quayle als Cottier relict of John Quayle the testatorr came this day to the registry & acknowledged to have eecv from Thos Quayle one of the supervisors the sum of four pounds three shillings & nine pence in part of the childrens goods & does hereby acquit & discharge him & for so much before me Ja Wilks Ar Regr June 4th 1750 Michael & Wm Quayle sons of John Quayle ...
