Archdeaconal Will 1731 #28 Braddan of George Gelling,
"Bradan: The last will of George Gelling who was buried the 29th of Decr 1731 as followeth, being of good mind and of perfect memory oat the making thereof. First and principally he committed his soul to God and body to Xtian burial. Itm, he left and bequeathed all his lands to his son Thomas, and in case of his death to his sister Jane Gelling, his own daughter. And in case of the death of before enjoyment, he left and le---ed the same on his wife’s son John Crain, he paying four pounds to any of his relations that can claim any legal right to the said lands. Itm, he left to his said daughter Jane in legacy ten shillings if the goods would extend to it. Itm, he constituted his wife Bahee Gelling sole and whole executrix of all his goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever, and committed to her the tuition of children and their goods, and left William Cain & John Kewley supervisors. Witnesses: William Crain, Robt Crain, jurati. The Executrix sworn in form of llaw. Probatum est et solvit 1s. Pledges the witnesses of the Will Wm Crain & Robt Crain. Wm Crain sworn supervisor."
