Archideaconal Will 1726 #27, Andreas, of Philip Teare

The last will & testament of PHILIP TEARE who departed this life ye 12th June 1726, & was in perfect mind & memory at ye making of it.
First, He committed his soul to God, & his body to Xtian burial.
Item, He left to his BROTHER JOHN TEAR of Ballachoan whatever was in his own hands, together with what was in his wife's hands, to themselves.
Item, He left to his SISTER BESSY MARTIN of Knockadoony whatsoever was in her own hands.
To his BROTHER WILLM TEAR whatever was in his own hands.
To his BROTHER PATRICK TEAR his new coat.
To his BROTHER JAMES TEAR six pence legacy.
Item, He left to his MOTHER whatever was in her own hands, together with five shillings & three pence that was due from JOHN WADE, to whom he left the six pence that he ow'd him for weaving.
Item, He delcar'd that John Christian Philip owed him seventeen shillings and a gibyn or sling of nets. John Keey owed him 8s 2d, which his SISTER ALICE recd on his account. Thomas Corlet at ye Lane 5s 2d. John McSkaly 4s 5d. John Goldsmith 1s 5d. Alice Lace als Brew of BallaKelly 1s 5d. John Quark (Keey) 1s 4d. Hugh Xtian 5d. Cath Cowle (Strangford) 5d. Philip Ffargher owed him for weaving 24 yards of fine linen. Thomas Killip owed him a shilling. Pat: Garret senr 9d. Philip Quirk owed him some money, & for weaving a piece of linen.
He left to ye witnesses 6d each. Lastly, He constituted & appointed his SISTER CATHRINE LAWSON ALS TEAR sole & lawful Execrx of all ye rest of his goods movable & immovable whatsoever. Witnesses: Cath: Tear, Bahy Lawson, juratae.

THE EXECX SWORN in form of Law. Probatum est & Solvit. Pledges: Jon Martin, Patrick & James Tear according to Law."
