Braddan: The last will and testament of Margret Gellin of Comlork in KK Braddan, who departed this life, on or about the 14th day of January 1724/5, being in perfect sense and memory. Imprimis, She committed her soul into the hands of Almighty God, and her body to Christian burial. Item, she left to her son Paul Gelling all the goods in the house, excepting a chest and one coverlet. Item, she left to her said son Paul all the money he had of hers in his own hands, he paying all funeral charges. Item, she left to her three grandchildren Margret Gellin, Elinor Gellin, and Elinor Kewley each of them a sheet. Item, she left to her grandson John Gellin, a bay mare. Item, she left to her grandchildren Margret Gellin and Elinor Kewley each of them on linen handkerchief. Item, she left to her servant Sam one smock. Item, she left to her son Paul aforesaid, her part of the crop and team & husbandry gears, and after his decease to descend to her grandson John Gelling. Item, to her grandchild Wm Gelling son of John Gelling 2s 6d. Item, she constituted and appointed her daughter Elizabeth Kewley sole Executrix of all her goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever. Witnesses present: John Steven mark xx, James Kelly mark xx, jurati. The Executrix sworn in Courtin form of Law. Probatum est & solvit 1s. The Witnesses are pledges."
