Archideaconal Will 1724 #38 German, of Radcliffe Taubman,

died April 26th, 1724: "KK German 1724, #38: The last will and testament of Radcliffe Taubman who departed this life April 26th anno supra dicto being of perfect mind memory and understanding at the making thereof as followeth:
First, He committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial, and his funeral charges he left at the will and discretion of his SON JAMES TAUBMAN.
Itm, He bequeathed as legacy unto his SON THOMAS TAUBMAN all the goods belonging to him, both old & young: and excluded all manner of persons else from any right in his goods by leaving them six pence legacy apiece.
Lastly, He constituted appointed & ordained his well belonged SON JAMES TAUBMAN his whole & only executor of all the rest of his goods moveable & immoveable. Witnesses present: Dan: Corlett my mark Y, Hugh Taubman my mark X, jurati. The Execr sworn in Court in form of Law. Probatum & solvit 12d.

I HENRY KAIGHIN do declare and will depose upon oath that sometime after the making of the above Will I had opportunity of discoursing with the above decedent who told me that he always was resolved I should be a witness to his will and that he had made his will as above mentioned, but doubting (as the Depont: understood by him) that his GRANDSON HUGH TAUBMAN was not a Legal or valid evidence, he repeated the sd will before me in every particular as above specified and witnessed, and desired me to bear witness thereto when occasioned required. This I affirm for truth as witness myt mark to my name June 11th 1724, Hen: Kaighin my mark X, juratus. Pledges, Dan:Corlet & Hen: Kaighin."
