Archdeacon Will 1716 #48, Andreas, of Joney Lace als Kaighin, of Andreas, died 24 March 1714/5, wife to Daniel Lace:

"KK Andrews: This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Jony Lace als Kaighin of KK Andreas who departed this life the 24th of March 1714. Imprimis, she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. Item, she bequeathed and left six pounds apiece to her three daughters. Item, to her son Andrew Lace forty shillings, and to the witnesses a petticoat apiece. Item, she appointed her husband sole Executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and unmoveable. Witnesses: Kathrin Curlett, Christian Lace.

The Executor is sworn in form of Law. Pledges to secure the office and pay all debts and legacies are John Lace and William Saile in form of Law.

8 Feb 1716: Ellin Christian enters a claim against the Executor of Jony Lace alias Kaighen for 3 pounds which was paid by way of mortgage in land, and craves the Law.

January 14, 1716/7: John Lace enters a claim against the Executors of his mother Joney Lace for as much timber and deals as will complete a quarter part of the roofing, flooring, partitioning, widows & door cases &c., of an house of nine or ten yards long according as his father and mother obliged themselves by the marriage contract given by them unto their said son, and craves the benefit thereof at such time as he shall thing fit to build the said house pursuant to the said contract.

August 13th, 1750: Andrew Lace came this day to the Registry and acknowledged to have received the sum of two pounds from his father Daniel Lace about 15 years ago, being a legacy bequeathed to him by his mother, and he does hereby acquit and discharge his said father, his executors, administrators and assigns for the same."
