Archdeacon Will 1713/4 #32. Peel, German, of Jane Sumpter als Craine, died 7 April 1713:

"Peeltown: This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Jane Sumpter als Craine, who departed this life about the 7th day of April 1713, being in perfect mind and memory at the making thereof. First, she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. Item, she left Henry McYlvorry’s wife two petticoats & pair of shoes. Item, another petticoat to Oats Clucas’s daughter. Lastly, she appointed and constituted her only son John Sumpter her true and lawful Executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable whatever over whom she appointed and desired Capt. Nicholas Christian senior of Ramsey & Mr. William Harrison of Castletown to be his overseers. Cutting off all persons that would claim any of her goods with six pence apiece legacy.

Witnesses: Daniel Lace, Henry McYlvory.

Will proved 23 January 1713. The executor sworn in form of Law. The Inventory within a month."
