Archdeacon Will 1712 #33, Bride, of William Quane, died 24 xxx 1712:

"KK Bride: This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of William Quane of the parish of KK Bride, who departed this life the 24 xxx 1712, being in perfect mind and memory at the making of the same. First, he committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial. Item, he left and bequeathed to his grandchild Mary Christian ten shillings xxxx. Item, to his dauhter Ann Quain a cow that was in the said xxx xxx keeping. Item, to his son William Quain twenty shillings. Item, he declared that there was twenty shillings due to him from William Christian of Ballabegg and eight shillings from xxth: Kaighin of Glantruan. Item, he left all the rest of his goods and effects moveable and unmoveable whatsoever unto his wife Bahee Costeen and to his daughter Jane Quain jointly between them and for as much as his said dauhter Joney Quain has been a long time sick and in no wise able to travel, he therefore desired and appointed that his said wife Bahee Costeen should be sworn Executrix of all his goods and effects moveable and unmoveable whatsoever in the behalf of her self and her said daughter Joney Quain. Item, to the witnesses of this his last will seven pence apiece. [Witnesses: Patrick Christian, William Keruish. The wife is sworn according to the Will in form of Law.

The Inventory in gross xxx the dead’s part amounts to 5 pounds 0 shillings 0 pence. The goods in the wife’s hands who hath given pledges in form of Law the witnesses of the will. I James Ratcliffe of KK Andrews do as well in my own behalf, as also in my wife’s viz. Mary Ratcliffe als Christian’s behalf, hereby acknowledge to be truly and justly paid and satisfied from, by and at the hands of William Christian of KK Bride in the just and entire sum of twenty shillings, which said sum was due to my said wife Mary by the death vizt., the testament of her deceased grandfather William Quane of which said sum I do hereby acquit and discharge the above said William Christian forever, under penalty of double the value.
