"Ramsey: March 18, 1711/12: The last will and testament of Joney Sunter alias Costen of Ramsey who departed this life the 16th of February last, being of good and perfect memory committed her soul to God and her body to the Christian burial, and as for her temporal estate she did order and dispose in manner and form following. Imprimis, she left to her eldest daughter Margret Sunter three shillings legacy. Item, she bequeathed to her daughter Jane Sunter half of the house and garden and sole Executrix of all her goods moveable and immoveable of what nature soever. And her husband promised to give his half after his decease. Item, she left to the witnesses hereof six pence legacy to each of them. March the first 1711/12, Witnesses hereof: Christopher Quay, Ewan Christian.
The Executrix sworn in Court. The husband has promised in Court to give his daughter Jane his half of the house and garden after his death, unless necessity force him to dispose of them before. Pledges, Christopher Quay & John Sumpter the father of the Executrix."
