"German: Ellinor Leece als Kaighin departed this life about the 15th October 1709 intestate, whereof the Court having intelligence hath decreed her three children vizt., Jane, Ellin, & Elizabeth, her true and joint administrators of all her goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever. The next of kin on the mothers side, vizt., Dan: Lace & Charles Kaighin are appointed supervisors, the former being absent the latter is sworn in Court in form of Law, with the husband also. The goods and children in the fathers hand, who hath given in the annexed paper for the full and entire Inventory of his wife upon oath, which is accepted by the Court, & pledges are Thomas Mcylechreest & John Quirk Ballavagher.
German: Whereas Ellinor Leece als Kaighin of the Parish of KK German having died intestate, and leaving behind three daughters vizt., Jane, Ellinor and Elizabeth all minors; the next relations therefore on the Decedents side, namely Daniel Lace of KK Andrews, & Charles Kaighin of KK Michael upon exact view of the goods, and in order to secure the childrens interest, by making the best provision for them that the said effects can extend to, have made this agreement following with John Leece the surviving parent; that is, that the said John Leece does hereby oblige himself or his heirs and assigns to pay unto his three daughters the sum of six pounds apiece for the deceaseds part of goods, as they all or any of them arrive to years; and till then to maintain and educate them; and if the said Decedents friends be not satisfied with their looking to, that then they are to have the children and their goods into their hands till they are capable to take it into their own hands as before; The above parties to this agreement have justified their consent by their mutual names and marks, December the 14th anno 1709. The within: December 30th 1749, Joseph Cannel husband of the within Elizabeth Leece came this day to the Registry and acknowledges to have received from Margaret Leece als Radcliffe relict of the within named John Leece the sum of six pounds due to his wife by virtue of the within agreement and does hereby acquit & discharge the said Margaret Leece als Radcliffe of the same forever. Before me, James Wilks."
