In the name of God Amen, the seventeen of March one thousand seven hundred & seven. I ALIS TEARE being sick in body but of good and perfectt memory thanks be to Allmighty God and calling to rememberance ye uncertain estate of this transitory life and that all flesh must yield unto death when it shall please God to call, doe make constitute ordaine and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following revokeing and annulling by these presents all and every testament or testaments will and wills heretofore by me made and declared either by word or writing and this to b e taken only for my last will and testament and none other and first, I give and commit my Soule unto Allmighty God my Saviour & Redeemer and my body to Christian burial in such order as my Executor shall appoint.
Item, I bequeath unto my DAUGHTER ALLIS five pound stearling if she will queit[?, ?quoit, ?quit] what corbes is due to her after my death and if not she is to have only five shilling beside her porcition[portion].
Item, unto WILLIAM five shilling and five unto JAMES.
I bequeath unto my SON JON: twelve pence legacy.
Lastly I doe constitute and ordaine my SONN STEPHAN TEARE to be my true and Lawfull executor of all the rest of my goods whatsoever moveable & unmoveable and this my last will and testament to stand firm in Law erebookable as witness my hand & ussuall marke ye day & year above sd. Pledges to secure ye office & pay all debts & legacys ye witnesses of ye will.
DECR 28TH 1711: CAPT THO: XTIAN enters his claime agt the Execr of ALICE TEAR for ye grist of her corne for ten years past computed to fifty shills as will be made to appear & craveth the Law.
JUNE 13TH 1712: JOHN TEAR enters his claime agt ye Execrs of his MOTHER ALICE TEAR for ye summe of 3s[?] as will be made to appeare and craves ye Law."
