Archideaconal Will 1707 #14, Andreas, of John Teare

This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of JOHN TEAR who departed this ye 26th March 1707, being in perfect mind & memory at ye making thereof.
First, he committed his Soul to God and his Body to Xtian Burial.
He left to his FATHER his part of the horse yt was betwixt them, with his part of his father's bed clothes, & of a fledge & blanket.
He left to his BROTHER DANIEL ye twenty shillings yt was in John Ratcliff BallaKelley's hands.
To his BROTHER & FATHER all his wearing clothes, excepting a petty to his WIFE.
To his UNCLE JOHN TEAR a laughton pair of breeches.
To JAMES TEAR an hatt; to his BROTHER DANIEL a quarter of a colt.
To his SISTER JONY a lamb. To his DAUGHTER ANN ten shills.
To his SON DANIEL YE HEIR his part of the crop of corn & husbandry gears.
Lastly, he appointed & constituted his WIFE his true & sole Execrx of all ye rest of his goods movable & immovable, & left ye custody of ye children & goods to her also. And if ye said two CHILDREN shud die under age, then he left a quarter part of their goods to his BROTHER & SISTER above mentioned & 3 qrs to his WIFE. To ye witnesses 6d apiece.
And he left ye Lands to his WIFE for twenty years. Testes: John Tear, James Tear, jurati.

THE EXECRX SWORN in form of Law. 2nd die Junii 1707, Probatum est & Solvit.

DAN: TEAR & JONEY TEAR are sworn Supervisors. Pledges to secure ye office, & for ye forthcoming of ye CHILDREN goods & maintenance & ye paymt of all debts & legacys, vizt, PHILIP TEAR & JOHN TEAR.

THE CROP OF CORN DUE TO YE HEIR is prized by ye wife & grandfather to 00:19:006. And ye Heir is to have either ye crop in kind or ye above price when he comes to age. The husbandry geers due to ye Heir is prized to 0:3:0. These husbandry gears are in ye grandfather's hands wch ye Heir is to receive in kind, or ye price from his Execr or when ye Heir comes to age.

22D NOVR 1710: DANIEL TEAR does hereby acknowledge to have recd ye twenty shills left him by his BROTHER JOHN TEAR yt was in John Ratcliff BallaKelley's hands. As witness his mark, DANIEL TEAR's mark X. Before me, Charles Watleworth, Regr."
