Episcopal Wills 1702 Ballaugh #2, of Thomas Cowley

Ballagh 1702
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of
Tho Cowley who departed this life the 6th of August,
being in perfect memory at the makeing thereof:
First he committed his soul unto God and his body to Christian
burial. Item he left to his two youngest children Patrick
and Margt seven pounds betwixt them. Itm he left
his houses and lands to his wife till his eldest son Gilbt be
twenty years old, and then his sd son to possess and enjoy the same
with the husbandry gears thereto belonging viz plow harness
cars, ladders and a pair of loomes and a chest, and thirty
stacks of plackett at the expiration of that time, and incase
his eldest child should die the sd lands to descend from child
to child, and if all his children should die then the lands
should descend to Thomas Corlett his sister's son except
a parcel called the Gata:now, which he left to his sister Margt
^if she did come & enjoy it ^ and if [] should arise any [] law suit occasioned
by the sd Thomas Corlett agt the sd Magt his sister about the
sd parcell that the sd Corlett should pay to his sd sister ten
pounds in lieu of the sd parcell [some text crossed thru]
Itm he left to sd Tho Curlett his hat breeches and a pair of
stockings. Itm to Alice Curlett as much cloth as would do her
a wasecoat. Itm to Dan Boddagh a cotton cap and a pair
of stockins. Itm to his sisters Jony, Anne and Margt 6 pence
a piece legacy. Itm to be witnesses of his will 6 pence
and named and appointed his wife the excrs of all the []
of his goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever
