"KK Michael of 20th of November 1701: The last will and testament of John Kaighin,
who committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial.
Item, I bequeath to my daughter Ellinor Kaighin twenty pounds sterling after
the English value.
Item, I give to my grandchild John Lace one loughten coat and one sad colored
coat with silk buttons to it.
Item, to my son Charles one coat.
Item, to my son in law Daniel Lace one coat.
Item, I give to my daughter in law Mary Kaighin one pewter voider.
And lastly, I constitute and appoint my loving wife my tree and lawful Executrix
of all the rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever. Witnesses: John
Shittleton, Hugh Lannel.
The Execturix sworn in Court in form of Law. Pledges to secure the office and pay all debts and legacies according to Law: Daniel Lace and Charles Kaighin."
