"Peeltown, March 5th 1697/8: In nominee Dei, Amen. This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of MARGARET COOPER ALS BREDSON who committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial.
Item, she left to the poor a firlet of meal.
Item, she left to her SON WILLIAM 10 shillings legacy.
Item, she left to her DAUGHTER IN LAW 10 shillings and MARGARET's clothes.
Item, she left to her COUSIN TOMAS HUDDLESTONE a guinea.
Item, she left to her GRANDCHILD WILLIAM her part of the nearer miln.
Item, she left to CHARLES her part of Cusnahan's houses and gardens and Young's cellar.
Item, she left to her SISTER'S SON a vest and a pair of breeches and 10 shillings.
Item, she left to ANN CARRETT a petticoat and waistcoat.
Item, she forgave JOHN HUTCHIN her part of 10 shilling she lent him.
Item, she left her HUSBAND what money she had within door's and what was due by any manner of way abroad; provided he would not marry again, and if so to have no part thereof.
Item, she left him her part of boat and nets, and the benefit of all the goods while he liveth; and that ISSABLE should have none of her sheets.
Lastly, she appointed and ordained her THREE GRANDCHILDREN vizt., WILLIAM, CHARLES & MARGARET COOPER to be her true and lawful Executors of all her goods moveable and unmoveable; and appointed her COUSIN THOMAS HUDDLESTONE to be their overseer.
