"German: The last will and testament of John Cannell who departed this life the 3^rd of November anno domini 1696. First he committed his soul unto God and his body to Christian burial. Item, he left to the poor a firlet of barley and a sheep to be distributed by his executor. Item, to his maid Katherine Fargher half a heifer. Item, he constituted and appointed his grandson John Cannell sole executor of all his interest of house and lands and the rest of his goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever. Testes: Mat: Curghey, Patrick Curlett, jurati. The Executor sworn in Court accordin to Law. Probatum est et solvit 1s. The Inventory next Court. April the 6^th 1697: Will: Joughen enters against the executor of John Cannell for the sum of 10s due &c."
