WILLIAM WOODS departed this life about the 15th of December last intestate whereof the Court having intelligence hath decreed his CHILDREN THOMAS & CARTER WOODS his lawful and joint administrators and the next of kindred on the fathers side supervisors, vizt., JOHN & MARGARET WOODS who are sworn in Court according to Law. The wife is also sworn.
THE INVENTORY OF THE GOODS OF WILLIAM WOODS who was buried December 15th 1688, viewed and prized by sworn me, to wit, Ro:Wanwrick, Wm.Quott, Wm. Mylleriah, & Nicho:Knikle[?] as followeth: Imprimis a barrel & churn 2p, wheel & mug 5p, 00:02:03; Item, spit 9p, old chest 9p; another chest 2p; 00:03:06; Item, the small things xxx, hundred herrings 7p, 00:01:07; Item, his shaped clothes, shoes, swiems[?] 00:05:00; Item, 2 chests 3p, xxx blanket 8p 00:01:04; Item, half some yarn 4p, some meal[?] 6p, some goates[?] 4p, 00:01:02; Item, grid iron and shraddle[?] cap 4p, 00:00:02; Item, a kissan and half barley and weights 4p, 00:00:04; Item, some salt and a grope 4p, 00:00:04; Item, half a bedstead and form 9s, a firlet of oats 9p, 00:01:06; Item, some oats at Farrants is xx fledge & blanket 2p, 00:00:10; Item, half a cow 8s, xx a panner & some boards 1p, 00:08:01; Item, kissan of hemp seed 1p, 00:00:01; Item, some lands of old Jo:Farrants of 3p rent payment; Item, a quarter of an ox[?] 5s, & quarter of a heifer 3s 8p, 00:08:06; Item, fuir sheep 30p, 00:02:06; Item, a kevie joy[?], alth[?] horse 4s, 00:05:00; Total 2:2:2. Whereas there was two sheets put by his friend about the deceased to the grave and that there is no sheets for the wife against the said sheets, the priors have praised the sheets to 6s 6p for which the wife is to have the cow and to return to the children 18 p, or else the wife is to get the 6s 6p now and to return the cow to the children. Debts to be deducted 16s.

I THOMAS WOODS, SON OF MARGARET WOODS ALS FARRANT late deceased, do hereby acknowledge that I promised to my COUSIN JOHN FARRANT, that if he would take care of my said MOTHER in her sickness, I would acquit him of all the moveable good due to me by the decease of my FATHER WILLIAM WOODS, and I do now ratify and confirm that my said promise, and desire that this may be recorded with my said Father's inventory, to discharge him of the same goods (as he is Executor of my MOTHER aforesaid).
