This will prized[?] at 8 shillings[?] xx his chappell[?] June 24, [16]70. I CHARLES STANLEY beinge weak of bodie but perfect in memory praised be God doe make this my last will and Testament this 7th day of April 1670. I bequeath my soule to God that gave it and my bodie to Christian burial in the Chancell of Kk Arbory Church. I bequeath unto the poore of the parish three bowles of barley to be carried to ye parish Churtch and there to be distributed accordinge my wifes direction. I leave to the vicar of the parish ten shillings. xxx Loto: Schoolemaster of Casseltowne ten shillings to preatch my funeral sermon if he please to take it upon him. I leave to my illegitimate SON THOMAS twenty pounds and that to be sent with him to my BROTHER XXN: CHRISTIAN to whom I commit him to be prexxx xxx to let him have the same as he may xxx xxxations and in case he dies before that he rexxxx it: that it restorne[return] to the use of the OTHER CHILDREN XXX AND CHARLES and in want of them to my next of Kindred. I bequeath to my SISTER ELIZABETH GAWNE all those xxx due from her to me with the consent of my wife. I leave to my SISTER MARY STANLEY five pounds xxx cowes grasing for one year and ye daymoth of xxx which JAMES WILDS WIFE use to have. I leave to my MOTHER that she have ye eight pounds according to Contraction bargaine and twenty shillings xxx deliver with a piece of gould of 20 shillings callow as a xxxx and that twenty xxxx years xxxx during her life with a good feather bed and furniture which is to return after her death. Item, I leave to my COZEN MARY STEVENSON a xxx piece of gould. Item, in like manner to my COZEN RICH STEVENSON xxx shilling piece of gould. Item, I bequeath to my WIFE ten shillings and my horse or mare. Item, I leave to littell WILLIAM GAWNE one of the xxxx cowes in the house. Item, I leave my WIFE AND CHILDREN sole executors of all my goods moveable and immoveable. Item, I leave my COZEN RICH: STEVENSON xxxx MY WIFE of all my CHILDREN and my WIFE xxxx the tuition of my CHILDREN and lands till my SON CHARLES come to fourteen years of age. June ye 24 [16]70. MARCH YE 1ST 1670: KATH: CHRISTIAN widow (the Executor of her SON DAVID CHRISTIAN) enters against the Executors of Mr. CHARLES STANLEY for 8s 7d due as can be made to appear and craveth tryall.
July ye 8th 1670: xxx Quayle of Ramsey enters his claim against ye Executors of Mr. Charles STANLEY xxx sum of 16 shillings 10 pence with a yeares interest due unto him as he can make appear and craveth tryall.
Charles Stanley died 1670. His wife is Mary.
