jean, you are a real gem.
how I wish my killeys had given their children sensible names like archimedes and mata hari. that might have made things look slightly less tricky!
I have got a marriage record for eleanor/elinor killey marrying william corris in patrick, 1838. she is 22, he is 23, he is a miner. she is a servant. his father, william corris:tailor, her father, john killey:labourer. on my williams marriage record he also says, father, john killey:labourer.
so, do we think that this is the mother of catherine ruth, william henry, and joseph (the unmarried lead miner in 1881?)
I wouldnt mind!.....but all I really wanted to do was to find out more about my williams parents and now I am agonising over his siblings as if they were my own children!! I cant bear to think that one of them has got lost and been replaced by someone elses child.
this is a funny old game, isnt it? xxx
