Many thanks for that. I am glad I got the "Steps" and "halfs" right. I understood the 1st, 2nd 3rd cousin business more or less, but the Removed definition always threw me, so I tended to steer clear of it, and whilst I have copied the fredd file which does a splendid job explaining it, I still think it is a nightmare.

I am glad we dont have a 2nd Great Great Grandmother, three times removed to contend with ! If we did, I think I would give up this whole business and opt for Einstein's Theory of Relativity instead.
