I made a mistake when I assumed the 1855 death in Liverpool of Alice Gelling was the 2nd wife of John and the mother of Stanley Tynwald Gelling b 1852. That Alice Gelling was Alice GARRETT, widow of William GELLING. Her Braddan will is transcribed.

We know Alice was gone by 1861 because William is a widower (assuming census is correct). There is a burial of an Alice Gelling 27 Feb 1858 age 46 at Lonan.
