Yes James Cottier and Catherine Kessick were the parents of James and my Thomas (bn 1810) and from them I,ve found an "Ancestral File" going back 5 generations, but I'll have to check these out as I haven't got much confidence in this being correct, it was an "Ancestral File" that had James Cottier and Catherine Kessick as the parents of my rogue Thomas (bn 1812", who I believe I found on the same film, he being the son of John Cottier and Margaret Cannell. As for what happened to Thomas and James after 1840 in America I do not know, I'm sure Thomas died there, but James? to be honest I haven't spent to-much time trying to find him, that's an other job.
