Wow this thread seems to have really taken off after 3 years. Thanks everybody for the information I will go through it all and see what I have.
I also think that John and Jane were married before and I also think that maybe Charles Christery was a son of one of Johns children from a previous marriage. I have found them on the 1841 census living with another John Christery who could possibly be John seniors son and Charles father.
