Don't mean to butt in, but was following the discussion about Lyncheys of Malew, pub near Douglas and the robbed Watterson in Lonan - Maybe the robbers thought that they would be safe doing the deed in Lonan as no-one would know them in a place so far away from home, and then stopped at the Ivy Tavern on the Castletown Road on the way home to count (and spend!) the loot?
