Thank you, Donna, for the welcome and the information. My quandary is whether that's the right Ann Fell. She's the only one listed as being born in Malew, which is specifically stated in the 1881 census. But her birth year varies from 1843 to 1849 through the UK censuses, which makes me wonder whether the birth location might have been misstated, as well.

I've penciled in Robert & Jane, but I was also curious about a John and Isabella Fell as possible parents, because of the Isabella connection (found them in Rushen, 1851 census). This thread on Jane Fell mentions an Isabella, which made me realize that the name Isabella was more common than I had supposed.

The only connection I have to the IOM is the reference in the censuses from England. I would love to make a firmer connection to the IOM and flesh that out more.
